The MagMax is Puma's biggest stack, and it's mostly nitrogen-infused Nitro foam. The ride is soft and deep, more cushioned than bouncy. It suits slow miles better than anything quick.
Its party trick is the PumaGrip outsole. It grips wet roads and painted lines better than almost anything on this shelf. If you run through a lot of rain, that matters more than a few grams. It's heavier than the Vomero 18 and has less energy than the Triumph 23.
The upper is comfortable and fairly roomy. It fits true to size.
“Huge and soft, and it grips wet roads better than almost anything.”
