The Superblast 2 has a race-shoe foam stacked as high as a recovery shoe, and it's somehow light enough to run workouts in. A main layer of FF Turbo+ sits over a thinner FF Blast+ Eco base. It gives a springy, lively feel, and there's no plate, so the ride stays natural and flexible.
It's the most versatile shoe on this shelf. It does long runs, tempo work and easy days, and plenty of runners use it as a marathon-training do-it-all. It's lighter and faster than the 1080 v14 or Triumph 23. It's also pricier, and less forgiving at very slow paces.
The woven upper is light and breathable, with a secure lockdown. It fits true to size, though the forefoot is on the narrower side.
“The max-cushion shoe that forgot to be slow.”
