The Glycerin Max is Brooks's tallest shoe, and it feels like it. A thick layer of nitrogen-infused DNA Tuned foam sits on a pronounced GlideRoll rocker that tips you forward whether you meant to go or not. It's soft but quite controlled for its height.
It suits recovery days and slow long runs, especially for heavier runners or anyone who wants a broad, steady platform. It's more stable than the Bondi 9 and more expensive than the Ghost Max 3. It's a lot less nimble than the 1080 v14.
The upper is comfortable and well padded, with a secure midfoot. It fits true to size.
“A lot of shoe. Some days that's exactly what you want.”
