The Ride 18 uses a deeper layer of PWRRUN+ foam for a softer, smoother ride than the Rides that came before it. It still feels balanced and stable underfoot, with an easy heel-to-toe transition that doesn't take any getting used to.
It suits runners who want a neutral daily trainer for easy runs and long runs, particularly heel strikers. It isn't built for speed, but it doesn't mind a steady progression run either.
Next to the Ghost 17 it is a little more modern and lively; next to the Novablast 5 it is calmer and less bouncy. Fit is comfortable and true to size, with a secure midfoot and space in the toes.
“The quiet achiever of the daily-trainer aisle.”
