The Endorphin Speed 5 sandwiches a semi-rigid nylon plate between two layers of PWRRUN PB foam. The plate is flexible enough to be comfortable on easy days, but it adds snap when you push the pace. The ride feels like a gentler race shoe.
It suits runners who do workouts and want one shoe for tempos, intervals, long runs and daily miles. It is also a good race shoe for runners who don't want, or don't trust, a carbon super shoe.
It is more versatile than the Endorphin Elite 2 and more durable, though less explosive on race day. Against the Adizero Evo SL it is a little more structured thanks to the plate. Fit is secure and true to size, with a comfortable toe box.
“The one-shoe quiver for runners who do workouts.”
