The Pegasus Trail 5 is basically a road shoe with trail tyres. ReactX foam gives a smooth, cushioned ride that feels at home on pavement, while low lugs handle gravel and dirt. It doesn't pretend to be a mountain shoe.
It suits runners whose trails start on the road, or who run mostly park paths and towpaths. It's more versatile on pavement than any other trail shoe on this shelf. It doesn't have the grip of the Speedgoat 6 or Peregrine 15 on technical ground.
The upper is comfortable and well padded. It fits true to size.
“Door-to-trail versatility for runners whose trails start on pavement.”
