The Pegasus 41 swaps the old React foam for ReactX and keeps Air Zoom units in the heel and forefoot. The ride is balanced and moderately cushioned, a little livelier than the Pegasus 40 but still the dependable workhorse it has always been.
It suits runners who want one shoe for daily miles without thinking about it. It handles easy runs, steady runs and the odd stride session, though it isn't the softest or fastest option for long runs or workouts.
It is firmer and heavier than the Novablast 5, and less cushioned than the Clifton 10. What it offers is consistency, durability and a fit that suits most feet. It runs true to size, with a secure heel and a reasonable toe box.
“Dependable to the point of being invisible, which is the point.”
