The verdict

TechSilk is Satisfy's own fabric, a polyamide and elastane weave engineered to feel like silk: cool, slippery and quiet against the skin. These 8-inch shorts pair that shell with a built-in Justice coldblack liner, so they behave like a two-in-one.

Storage is well thought through. A sweatproof phone pocket sits inside the liner to keep the screen dry, a zipped back pocket takes keys or a card, and a small carabiner clips valuables inside the double waistband.

The 8-inch leg and relaxed cut make them as much a city short as a race short. If you want a fast, short race cut with gel storage, the Soar Marathon Shorts make more sense. These are for long, easy miles and looking good doing them.
