The TRLCap is Ciele's trail cap, with a taller crown than the GOCap and a big mesh panel at the back to dump heat on long climbs. The extra height gives air room to move, which matters when you're going slowly uphill in the sun.
It is made largely from recycled polyester, with a ripstop front panel on many versions to shrug off branches, a pre-curved brim for shade and a moisture-wicking sweatband to keep sweat out of your eyes. Reflective trim covers the early starts.
Of the four Ciele caps here, it is the roomiest and the most robust. Road racers will prefer the lower FSTCap, but for mountain days and long ultras this is the one to pack.
“A trail cap that takes a beating and still looks good at the aid station.”
