Normatec 3 is the boot you'll find in plenty of pro locker rooms: two leg sleeves connected by hoses to a control unit that inflates five zones in sequence, from foot to hip. The squeeze moves up the leg and releases, which feels a bit like a firm, slow massage.
There are seven pressure levels and a ZoneBoost mode that holds extra time on whichever zone hurts most, usually calves or quads after a marathon block. The app adds timed sessions, but you can run everything from the buttons on the unit.
The evidence that compression boots speed physical recovery is mixed. What they do reliably is make legs feel lighter and force you to sit still for 30 minutes. The newer Elite drops the hoses, but the 3 remains the better value of the two full-leg Normatec systems.
“Couch time that feels like it counts.”
